It is the 256th day of the year, the moment we’ve all been waiting for….Programmer’s Day. Apparently the holiday is only officially recognized in Russia but many technology oriented companies do recognize their programmers on this special day. To celebrate this monumental occasion programmers from around the world are wearing white today, I know I have my white on.
Why the 256th day?
“A byte can have 256 possible values, bytes are very important to programmers. Not because they are required for programs to work, but because the payroll system and Krispy Kreme doughnut cash registers require them.”
