If Hemingway Wrote JavaScript
Twitter’s Angus Croll imagines what Hemingway, Shakespeare, Breton, Bolano and Dickens would do with JavaScript.
On Hemingway (screenshot above) he writes:

No surprises here. Code reduced to its essentials with no word or variable wasted. It’s not fancy; maybe its even a little pedantic - but that’s the beauty of Hemingway’s writing. No need for elaborate logic or clever variable names. It’s plain and its clear and it does what it has to - and nothing more.

The goal of the script is to create a Fibonacci series (a string of numbers where each number is the sum of the two that precede it).

It is the 256th day of the year, the moment we’ve all been waiting for….Programmer’s Day. Apparently the holiday is only officially recognized in Russia but many technology oriented companies do recognize their programmers on this special day. To celebrate this monumental occasion programmers from around the world are wearing white today, I know I have my white on.
Why the 256th day?
“A byte can have 256 possible values, bytes are very important to programmers. Not because they are required for programs to work, but because the payroll system and Krispy Kreme doughnut cash registers require them.”
